Not the most cleanest place but good enough for me. The owners were really nice to us from the start. The thing I loved about this place was the location. The walk from the Inn to the boardwalk and beach is less then a minute away. I would totally recomend this place to others that dont mind a place thats not really a four star place. If you are just looking for a place to stay that is close to the boradwalk and beach then this is a really good place. Beds were really comfortable. I will plan to stay here again the next time I go to Santa Cruz....
The owner was rude and I was charged with numerous hidden fees. There is too much wrong with this place to fit into 300 words.
Staff was pleasant. Conveniently located, three minute walk to Santa Cruz beach boardwalk, 10 minute walk to downtown.
Toilet kept on backing up. Room next to us full of twenty somethings, partying all night, noisey.
The proximity to the beach.
It was rather run down and the room was very hot.
I was allowed into a room "early" when I arrived at 1pm from the train, which I appreciated. It is a good location close to the Board Walk and the Pier. Wifi was good.
the heating was still on! (at the end of May??) - he had to turn it off for me - wondered why the room was so hot later! The pool was uncleaned but will not open for 2 weeks anyway.
When I arrived at the motel a staff member in charge was not very friendly and not at all cooperative. The motel has very inconvenient politics with regard to payment: the full rates for the four nights which I had booked were charged immediately upon arrival, with no possibility of refund. So it was not possible to leave the motel before the end of the four days, which otherwise I would certainly have done. The motel is quite noisy, people next door yelling around and quarrelling at night. The furniture of the room is quite worn, wholes in the blankets, dirty matress.
It was clean and the desk staff was very nice.
It is very run down. Beds were uncomfortable and had noisy springs.
The motel is just suited for sleeping, nothing else. Employees were trying to cover everything which was not working rather than beeing honest about it. wlan was broke, as well as the heating (felt 35 degrees Celsius in the room)...........
It was close to the Boardwalk
Although room seemed cleaned I was still hesitant to use the towels and bed sheets. My sister received some bumps on her body. The doctor stated it could have been some fleas in the hotel. I will not stay here again. Afraid of getting bed bug bites or any other types of infections.
Convience to beach and wharf.
Nothing, just needs to be updated with drapes and the like.
Very close to the beach and boardwalk, free parking, cheapest rate available.
Very slow check-in process; did not acknowledge customers waiting in line, room smelled like vinegar
I loved the fact that this hotel was so close to everything! It was awesome not having to drive anywhere in Santa CRuz. The staff was friendly and the hotel was just what I needed: a place to sleep, shower, and watch tv on my miniscule downtime. This is by all means not a four star hotel but if you are looking for a place to sleep and shower and are not picky, then I would choose this place. I will definitely be going back!
it was very close to the boardwalk which made it nice since I was without transportation
I had to get a new pass key for my room everyday even though I paid for a 3 night stay on my first day and the manager was a little bit over friendly and made me uncomfortable
The location was awesome.
The room is very small and a no thrills. If you don't expect much then you won't be disappointed. The walls are very thin so you can hear everything and it seems that if you are in the room over the weekend, there is a lot of noice because you are getting a low class of people in these room because they are cheap. The beds are horrible and need to be replaced. Parking is difficult because the driveway is very narrow.
I liked that I was so close to the boardwalk because the room was terrible.
They didn't give me the room I reserved, they figured they could get more money from someone else and they stuck me in a smaller room for the same price. He said he was going to charge me if i stayed or not. The room looked dirty. The staff was rude.
